Donating

The North Frontenac Food Bank is grateful for the generous contributions of food and money from individuals, businesses and associations in the community. These contributions allow us to support individuals and families in our community who do not have enough to eat.

Reusable Bag Donations

We gladly accept clean reusable bags to use for our food orders. Please contact us to arrange to drop them off or they can be left in the bin in the alcove outside the food bank.

Food Donations

Small donations of food may be dropped off at the Food Bank between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. each Tuesday and Friday. If these times are not convenient, please contact the Food Bank and we will attempt to arrange for a more convenient time to leave your donation.

Donors of large donations of food must contact the Food Bank to arrange for a date and time to drop off these items.

Pet Food Donations

Rather unique to the North Frontenac Food Bank is the supply of pet food.  This donation is courtesy of Angel's Cupboard, being a separate not for profit entity which seeks donor support for the supply of petfood and re-distributes this to the food bank where it is provided to Clients who also have and care for pets.  Clients who wish to receive pet food as part of their order must submit this request when requesting a normal food order.  This service has been well received and several bags of dog and cat food are supplied weekly to Clients.  For additional information please visit the Angel's Cupboard Facebook page.

Volunteering

The Food Bank is regularly looking for volunteers to fill vacancies that arise occasionally.  Volunteering at the Food Bank provides an opportunity to give back to the community while helping those who may have fallen on hard times.  Please contact the Food Bank to learn how you can become a valuable part of this service.
