Obtaining Assistance

 

Catchment Area

The catchment area of the Food Bank lies within the municipal Townships of Central Frontenac and North Frontenac and include the communities  and surrounding area of:

  • Arden

  • Mountain Grove

  • Ompah

  • Parham

  • Plevna

  • Sharbot Lake

  • Tichborne​

Monthly Assistance

​

Individuals and families in need of assistance can receive orders of food once per month. Orders are distributed twice per week on Tuesdays and Fridays.

 

If you are in need of food

CONTACT US BY 12 NOON ON MONDAY FOR TUESDAY PICK UP OR BY 12 NOON ON THURSDAY FOR FRIDAY PICK UP. An Intake Coordinator will:

  • receive Clients requests,

  • confirm eligibility

  • arrange a specific time to receive your order.

If you wish to receive an order please contact the Food Bank by:

An Intake Coordinator will review your request and contact you to arrange a specific time to receive an order.  If for some reason you are unavailable and the intake coordinator does not contact you, then please contact us to find out when your order will be available to be picked up.

First Time Clients

​

If you are new to using North Frontenac Food Bank, then you need to register with us. The registration involves answering several questions to confirm you live in our catchment area, and to confirm the size of your order.

​

When you register you will need to provide:

​

  • Permanent address of household

  • Names of all persons living in the household

  • Birthdates of persons

  • Contact information

  • Type of household income

  • Any special needs

​

If you are already registered and there have been changes to your household, please let us know, so we can supply you with the correct order size without delay.

​

It is important to note that all information provided is treated with the upmost confidentiality to ensure your privacy.
